Men in Black III was a nice movie for a Sunday afternoon. I went to see it with my mom and sisters and we laughed a lot, specially when the little girl thought Will Smith’s character was Obama.
I thought they were going to talk a bit more about racist issues when J (Will Smith) had to go back to 1969, it could have been a nice touch to add a bit of that. I loved the Factory and found it really funny how Andy Warhol was just another undercover agent.
What I just didn’t like was J’s dad death. Sure, it was meant to be an emotional scene, but ugh. At the end you end up finding out K (Tommy Lee Jones) wanted J to be his companion only because he pitied him? Ugh I don’t know, I didn’t like that part.
Since I’m back home I saw The Avengers again, now with my family. And I miss writing fanfiction, my head couldn’t stop with these three. In my head, the story went on with Steve and Tony dating first, they had awesome chemistry and amazing sex, but that wasn’t enough, you know? More things went on, they broke up. Then, years later, Bruce and Tony find each other again, they start dating and then marry, do lots of science, have great sex, and adopt like 15 babies and have a lovely family.
I heard this song in the trailer of Pixar’s upcoming movie Brave. So I searched around the net and found the title and meaning.
This song is a Scottish Gaelic (Gàidhlig) song. The song is beautiful. And if you read the meaning, it’ll be much more.
Below I’ll post the translation. And of course, the link to the original lyrics.
My Love Is On the High Seas
On a quiet evening at the beginning of May When the bat was in the skies I heard a tearful young maiden Singing beneath the shadow of the green branches The sun was setting in the sea And no stars yet graced the sky When the young girl sang sorrowfully "My love is on the high seas"
The night's dew began to fall Each bloom yielding softly to the droplets The wind blew in a fragrant breeze Bringing life and renewal to each field The girl tunefully sang her song Quiet and peaceful like the June dew And this chorus constantly repeated "My love is on the high seas"
Day darkened and the stars shone Setting their course amongst the clouds The maiden sat, burdened by her sadness Her singing could not have been more soothing I moved closer to the young woman Singing of her love sailing on the sea Oh sweet was her sad lament "My love is on the high seas"
The music enticed me Nearer to the brown-haired maiden of the warm eyes And she prayed to the King of Heaven "Protect my love on the high seas" Her heart was breaking with love When I took her by the hand "Wipe your eyes, your love is safe I have returned to you from the high seas."
Kristen talking about her accent in SWATH on MTV First (x)
Maybe it’s that I’ve not looked out for more Snow White and the Huntsman trailers, but the few I’ve seen don’t feature Kristen Stewart, fucking Snow White, even talking. Wouldn’t she need to at least say a few words in the trailers of a film she is going to be starring?
